Experience the charm of the captivating destination of North Evia, where the grandeur of nature meets history and the endless blue.
Welcome to enchanting Evia, the second-largest island in Greece, with its endless beaches, famous thermal springs, archaeological sites, and countless attractions! On the northern side of the island, pine forests create a unique natural landscape, while ancient monasteries such as the Monastery of Galataki, the Monastery of Saint David, and the church of Agios Ioannis Rossos, the beautiful settlement of Limni Evias, the famous waterfalls of Drymonas, and Aidipsos with its healing springs, are all must-visit spots of this unique destination.
Our apartments are located in the port area of Lichada, Agios Georgios. It is a small picturesque fishing village with significant tourist activity. Access is carried out by ferry routes on the Agiokampo-Glyfa or Arkitsa-Edipsos line, by car from Chalkida or by boats from Kamena Vourla. In combination with the charming village of Loutra Gialtron with its authentic fish taverns, the two villages offer boats to the magical Lichadonisia islands. Grecolimano and Chrysi Akti with their sandy beaches, shallow waters, and pine trees offer relaxation and rejuvenation, while at the “tip” of North Evia, the beach of Kavos dominates with its fine pebbles, sand, and crystal-clear waters. The beach of Agia Anna, also known as Agkali, is one of the largest beaches on Evia, located approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away from our location.
Located approximately 2.5 hours from Athens on the island of Evia, Aidipsos is one of the most famous resort destinations in Greece. With more than 80 thermal springs, whose temperature ranges from 28ºC to 86ºC, Aidipsos has been famous for its waters since antiquity. The water contains a high percentage of magnesium, calcium, and iron with special therapeutic properties. It is connected by ferry boat to Arkitsa in Phthiotis. Aidipsos is just a short drive from our apartments.
On the edge of Northwestern Evia, just a seven-minute drive from our apartments is the peninsula of Lichada, an area of incomparable natural beauty and part of the Natura 2000 network. In Lichada, enchanting mountains meet calm bays, secluded beaches, and small exotic islets. In the heart of the peninsula, on the slope of Mount Lichas, lies the charming village of Lichada. Prepare to be mesmerized by the incredible panoramic view it offers. Besides the stunning natural landscape, the area is home to ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine ruins, as well as more recent monuments. For hiking enthusiasts, the exciting ascent to the top of Mount Lichas reveals an extraordinary spectacle of the coastal and mountainous landscapes of Phthiotis and Northern Evia.
Seven uninhabited islets with golden sands, the “Seychelles of Greece” as they are called, are the famous Lichadonisia. The boat of Agios Georgios will transport you to an earthly paradise with its azure waters and organized beaches. The largest islets are Manolia and Megali Stroggyli, slightly smaller are Mikri Stroggyli, Steno, and Vagia, while the rest are smaller and belong to the “Ponticonisia” group. Explore Lichadonisia with easy access from our apartments through the port of our village, Agios Georgios.
Ten minutes by car from our apartments, in Gregolimano of Northern Evia, Club Med Gregolimano is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and families. An all-inclusive family resort offering everything from wakeboarding and diving in the Aegean Sea to beach pilates, all-day kids’ clubs, endless relaxation with gourmet cuisine, an open bar for refreshing cocktails, and theater evenings. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit and enjoy everything that the renowned club has to offer.
Northern Evia is synonymous with high gastronomic value products. Very close to Agios Georgios, in the village of Gialtra, lies the Vriniotis Winery, built right next to the old stone wine press with its traditional underground fermentation tank. The new winery is constructed according to the local architecture of Aidipsos, on a site overlooking the Aegean Sea. The region’s great viticultural tradition is a hallmark for visitors who wish to get to know the history of wine up close.
